How Read Only Programming Languages Are Born

One day a man was writing an email when he left the room to get something to drink. In his absence, his cat walked over the keyboard and among the myriad of characters entered into the body managed to send the email off. The man returned and soon realized what had transpired. Wondering what the recipient might think receiving such a random unsolicited email, he decided to pass it off as a new programming language. He named it after his cat – Perl.

Really Busy

I’ve been really busy lately, hence posting is a bit light. I plan to pickup soon. I’ve been working on many things.

On a side note, switching programming languages (Visual Basic .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, Perl) all in one day can be very confusing at times. I’ve been finding myself mixing up syntax quite a bit in the past few days. Yuck. For those wondering, Visual Basic is by far my least favorite.

Finally, software for a great cause

Pizza via command line. Could it be any better than that?

Hopefully Domino’s in my area will support online ordering sometime in the future.

On the technical side, it’s written in perl, so it should run on most Operating Systems. I’m curious if someone will hook up a UI to it.

Yummy command line. I command you order me a pizza. Now if only we can rm -r the calories we’d be all set.
