At the Yankee game today Pavano got hit in the head with a rather hard hit. Couldn’t see at the time that it was to the head though. They never replayed it on the screen (a sign it was a bad hit). Saw Joe Torre run out rather quick, so you knew it wasn’t good. How he managed to not only survive, but stay conscious is just a miracle. A shot like that (in excess of 100 MPH by estimates) to the head can cause death. He didn’t even hit the ground. The Bambino’s curse may be over, but he’s still looking out for the Yanks.
