Yes they are. I finally have selected a free CMS that will be implemented across MacVillage.net for now (and eventually on all other “Sub sites” of Accettura Media. This is great news, since it now clears the way for finally redoing the design for something more standards compliant and browser friendly. Time to put the creative hat on now.
Well, the big Apple news today, is ironically not about Apple, it’s about Quark, who finally finished up Quark Express, two years late.
Apple has a nice large ad on their homepage about it, pointing to this link:
But the big question, as the /. community asks is… Is this to late for Quark? Is there an audience left that hasn’t moved on?
I personally am of the opinion that it will need to be priced really good to sell, and it needs to be one heck of a solid reliable product. They can’t afford to have a buggy first OS X release like many other companies had. There is no time to rebound. That is, if they have time to take a first crack at the OS X market.
This article got me thinking. Who gets stuck with cleaning David’s genitalia? Is it sexual harassment if a women gets the job? Can a man sue if he is asked to do such a task? I know I wouldn’t want to be stuck on a scaffolding cleaning some marble genitalia. Perhaps that’s just me. Something about giant hard marble gonads make me think twice about cleaning. Can you contract an VD (the politically correct term for STD, meaning venereal disease)? Is your employer required to provide adequate protection?
You have to wonder about this guy. The FBI claims that he hates homosexuals, jews, abortions, and a whole long list of things. Now look at this photo:
That isn’t ironic is it? Especially considering he has (I believe) a Jewish lawyer, yet hates jews. He must be a deeply repressed homosexual jew.
Due to a server move at the end of April/early May, the blog was broke due to an inconsistency between the version of Berkley DB on the old and new host. Now running on mySQL, it’s back up and running!
My costume for “Beach Day” 2002 (Senior Year) School Decides “beach day” would be fun. Must follow school rules regarding dress code. Well, I printed these out and taped them to my school regulation clothing. Controversial, but fun.

Yikes, just got a chance to try out Grub, a distributed web crawling project… aka cheap bandwidth… This thing is scary. If I were a Network Admin, I would be working on ways to block this right now. This thing is bad news.
I’ve started work on MacVillage.net 4.0. Can’t say much… but the new design is in the works. It will include the capacity for more features to be implemented, without so much work. And better navigation abilities. Will be good. No idea when it will be done… I’m in real early stages.
Well, it’s going to happen. I decided that Mac OS X could use a good Spam Filter, and SpamAssassin is the way to go. I have it running on my system now. I hope to have it packaged for easy installation sometime soon. Perhaps shortly after finals end.
Perhaps after get a little Coca UI going so that we can configure that bad boy via System Prefs?
Will either most likely be distributed through Accettura Software. Of course it will be free, and bugs kept in SA’s bugzilla.
Of course this is all random thoughts, nothing is final… but at least there is a good chance Mac Users can appreciate the power of SpamAssassin.
