The Dance of Joy

When I saw AOL’s new Television service (free), I got excited. When I realized that Perfect Strangers was one of the show listed, I did the Dance of Joy.

Guess who is going to be watching a lot of TV reruns (even more than the normal 24hrs a day)?

Wikipedia Surfing

Wilson WilsonHas anyone else noticed you can visit Wikipedia, view an article, and pretty much end up surfing on Wikipedia for hours? I’ve done this several times now. Just reading and “oh, that looks interesting [open in new tab]”, and by the time I read an article, 2+ new tabs are open. After a while I have a dozen things I want to read. It just goes on and on. A million +1 topics, a semi-coherent pattern, though still pretty random.

If I keep going at this rate, I’ll eventually be like Wilson (pictured right) from Home Improvement, rather than continue to have Tim Taylor like wisdom. Maybe that’s a good thing? I’m pretty sure it can’t hurt to read about various topics, at a minimum it’s mundane conversation ;-).

Did you know that France once awarded the Croix de Guerre to a Homing Pigeon? Before you laugh, keep in mind “he delivered 12 important messages, once despite being shot”.

International Blogging for Disaster Relief Day

Today is International Blogging for Disaster Relief Day (Andy Carvin’s Idea). I think it’s rather appropriate.

For those wanting up to date information on what’s going on, check fark.com which has a few slow loading, but information filled threads from people gathering news from all sources.

I think I’ll just leave it with a link to the Red Cross as it’s rather fitting.

Warning: anyone who gets political here may be spanked in a way that would likely be deemed “to far” by most, so I’d recommend avoiding it (I haven’t decided exactly how, but I have been known to be downright rotten when people cross that line). This is not the place for debating what politicians have said/done (or not said/done) in regards to this event.

Flying Spaghetti Monster

How the universe was created.

WHY YOU SHOULD CONVERT TO FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTERISM

  • Flimsy moral standards.
  • Every Friday is a religious holiday. If your work/school objects to that, demand your religious beliefs are respected and threaten to call the ACLU.
  • Our heaven is WAY better. We’ve got a Stripper Factory AND a Beer Volcano.

Well, how can I not support that? It’s a rock solid website.

Crying While Eating

Yup, this is officially the end of the internet. Crying While Eating. So wacky and far out there, I really don’t get it. It’s somewhat funny, yet sobering at the same time. What will they think of next?

Photography

Noah Grey still amazes me with his photography (obligatory monkey pic). Everytime I for whatever reason run across the site, I am stuck going through his great work. There are billions of photo’s on the web. But only a handful of that quality.

Stacy’s Mom – Video of the Year

Seriously, bands need to start making entertaining video’s again. Lets face it, the mostly suck. Here’s one that kicks some serious butt:

Stacy’s Mom (Fountains of Wayne) (RealOne Player Required)

Now that’s some quality entertainment. Besides for the obvious reasons of enjoyment (lets face it, Stacy’s mom, aka Rachael Hunter is very good looking) it’s also a decent song… and a hysterical video. Just what the doctor ordered. Entertainment. Isn’t that the industry the Music business falls under?

Funny video throughout, very well done… great ending as well 🙂

That’s a quality video. Lets see more of those.
