The blue light of my backup external hard drive is somewhat captivating because it’s so bright and flashes so quickly. Got a few negative reviews for it, and I considered unplugging the light, but it grew on me.
For the nerds: FW800, USB2, Oxford OX934DSB chipset. With a 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 drive. Aluminum allows for passive cooling sans fan. Only beefs are a power cable with component pins (eww) and quite a few screws to get inside. Otherwise extremely nice enclosure.
