@Gabriela: That just means the page can't tell if it's up to date, needs to be updated or where to go for that plugin. You should search for the vendor and check the version. Google can help, you can also check this page which lists some of the most popular ones.

Many thanks for your answer!
Now I understand!
I have to download the player and I will have the plugin too!

What about the “Unable to Detect Plugin Version results. The Research links take me to lots of google results with questions and such, but no actual site where I can download the new Plugin’s version. Where can I get it from then? On Mozilla’s AMO? Or where?

Many thanks again for your answer,
Best regards,
Gabriela

Hi Robert,

I've just ran the Plugin check at I have only one to update: the QuickTime Plug-in 7.6. But the link takes me to the QuickTime 7.6.4 with iTunes for Windows XP or Vista, the free player. Is this the same as the plugin? Do I need to install the player just to update the plugin? If not, where can I find the updated plugin? On Mozilla's AMO? Or where?

Then I got a lot of "Unable to Detect Plugin Version" results. The Research links take me to lots of google results with questions and such, but no actual site where I can download the new Plugin's version. Where can I get it from then? On Mozilla's AMO? Or where?

I would really appreciate your answer to both above items as soon as possible to prevent possible crashes!

Many thanks,
Best regards,
Gabriela

BTW, it's the second time I write this comment, I wrote a similar one last night but today it has disappeared. I hope this does not happen again!

@Gabriela: iTunes contains (it's actually built on top of) QuickTime. Apple pushes the iTunes package pretty heavily. You can however download QuickTime on it's own, it's the second radio button when you visit this page. Select it and click download.

Hi Robert!

I'm a Mozilla and Firefox fan and I'm always looking for any improvement for my browser.

I've run the Plugin check and I found I had to update only one, the QuickTime 7.6 one. But the link takes me to the QuikTime Player with iTunes 7.6.4 download. Is this the correct plugin? Isn't it the software player but not the plugin?

What about the "Unable to Detect Plugin Version" results? I've got 12 of these but their links take me to lots google results, questions and such but not to a site where I can download the plugin's new version.

I'll be most gratefull if you could please answer me these two items!
Many thanks!
Best reagards,
Gabriela
