I’ve tried Gaim. Trillian is better. Especially the new version 3. It’s a bit bloated, but who cares. It’s polished, works well, has good support, and good customization. That, and I don’t particularly care about bloat, 3.0EGhz HT P4 doesn’t even sneeze…

Why would you want to use AIM or Trillian when there is gaim (http://gaim.sf.net/):)
Use iChat AV, no ads. or the NIM (lite AIM from Netscape), no ads.
