<description>As a co-author of PHP Cookbook, I'm biased, but if you're already familiar with PHP, then you probably want to buy PHP Cookbook or Advanced PHP Programming. Or both, really. The cover different topics.

There's not much in Programming PHP or Web Database Applications with PHP &#038; MySQL for an experienced PHP programmer. They're more introductory texts.

As for MySQL, Second Edition, I think you may be better off checking out MySQL Cookbook instead. MySQL, the product, has had lots of changes in the last year, and MySQL, Second Edition is a year and a half old. (Note that Paul DuBois is the author of both MySQL books.)

While I'm plugging books, check out my forthcoming book: Upgrading to PHP 5. It should be out in July. :)</description>
