Isbel’s Hole

Looks like a hole over NJ. Any time now, I guess it’s going to start getting more windy. It looks like just a faint breeze outside the window. Will know soon enough.

Surprisingly quiet outside. No people, no animals making noise, no nothing. It’s completely dead. Guess that means a bad storm is coming.

Apple Ads

Lately I’ve been seeing quite a few Apple ads on MacVillage.net. Since it’s done through an ad broker, I don’t know exactly what’s up. But I hope they keep it up.

With the relaunch, I hope to have things churning real soon. Unfortunately things are going a bit slower than I wanted. But they are moving. MacVillage.net should be ported to the new system within the next 6-8 weeks. The rest of the site (with the exception of a few seconds) should follow soon after. By years end Mac PR should move to the new system.

The new system is nice… believe me. It’s worth the wait.

Mac Village.net 4.0 “Daemon of the Abiss” WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT!

That is my promise. It will be worth the wait.

Thanks to all who have been so supportive of the site. It’s coming back, and I will be making up for lost time. The new system will be managable, meaning I could give the site the treatment it deserves. The old system required to much manual effort. It was a losing battle. Rather than suffer and die, I killed the old system, in hopes of a new one. One that is turning out to be pretty dang good if you ask me.

It’s going to be something. A lot has changed already behind the scenes. And quite a bit more will be changing in the near future.

It’s final. Batten down the hatches

Looks like a hurricane is coming. At least that’s what the news is reporting. They claim south Jersey is going to get “tropical storm force winds”. According to this, that means 39-74 MPH winds. Yikes.

And that’s if we are lucky. A little turn up north, and could be more.

No classes canceled as of yet. Despite others having canceled classes. I better get a hurricane day. To make it worth the inconvenience.

VeriSign can go to hell

I’m a bit angry.

From now on any bad URL will resolve to VeriSign. That’s sick. They make money on every typo on the Internet.

My real beef is that they could be selling ads for competition. For example, type appke.com instead of Apple.com, and you could be seeing ads for MS Windows. Or vice versa.

Bad things to come.
