Because I’m a data addict I’ve started to take the liberty of putting trips into a database so I can do fun things like build a map. Not much exploration of the Pacific as of yet (hopefully more to come), but I think I’ve seen the Atlantic from several vantage points now .

I set it up so that home base is New York. Thus if a trip is planned, New York will also be in the future as well as the present, simply because it’s the final destination (trip home). I’ve still got to make a few tweaks to correctly handle some edge cases, but this isn’t bad.

Some trips have been done several times: Amsterdam, Baltimore in particular, which may not be evident on the map.

I’m still missing stuff from this table. One day I’ll look it all up and fill out the details.
